Broad Street Youth Update - January 10

January is off and running!  There is a lot coming up for our youth very soon.  Here are this week's announcements:

Ark Service Project this Saturday!
From 12-3pm this Saturday we will be walking dogs, brushing cats, and cleaning cages (ewww!) at ARK, right behind the church.  The address is 240 Oak Street NW, 37311.  It's almost not fair to do a service project that is this much fun!

Sunday, January 15
GLOW for Middle school youth begins at 4pm.  GLOW ends at 6pm. This winter, youth will be invited to dig into the greatest story ever told as they dive into the mystery of the Messiah.  This week at GLOW, youth will pursue the mystery of "The Messiah as King" as they explore the Old Testament expectations of the coming Messiah as a king in the line of David who would usher in a perfect kingdom of righteousness, peace, and justice.
Next GLOW gathering: the paradox of "The Messiah as Servant."

High school small groups meet:
Guys at 4pm-6pm at Alex Everley's house. Bring $3 for pizza - 423 Bell Crest Dr. NW, 37312

Girls at 6:30-8pm at Sheryl Bacon's house - 117 Golf View Ct. Nw, 37312

Youth & Parent Meeting
All youth and parents, please plan to attend the Youth & Parent Meeting on January 22 at 4pm in Triplett Hall.  Bring your 2012 Medical Form.  We plan to have a notary present.  This will be a great time for parents to learn about our vision for Youth Ministry as well as receive information relevant to Warmth in Winter.  Although the meeting is intended for all Youth Families, it is required for participants of Warmth in Winter.  Please contact me with any questions or to RSVP regrets.

Grace and Peace,
Wes
