Here are this week's announcements:
- This Sunday, Nov. 6 - Our parent meeting will be in the Chapel (to the left of the Narthex, near the Sanctuary). We will begin the meeting at 9:40am. We have much information to cover, please plan to attend!
- Also this Sunday, Nov. 6 is our Youth Campfire, Cookout and Hayride. We will meet at 5pm at the Pavilion at Hurt Lodge and will be finished by 7pm. Youth are asked to bring $5 to help with the cost of the hayride and food - hot dogs, marshmallows, and drinks. This is gonna be a fun night!
- We are trying something new! You should have received the information and registration for for Warmth in Winter in the mail last week. Held in Murfreesboro, Warmth in Winter is the winter youth conference we are attending this year. The dates for the event are January 27-29, 2012. This looks like a fantastic event for youth! I have been in contact with other churches who attend Warmth regularly and their youth love it! Be sure to see our Warmth in Winter FAQs for more information. Broad Street's registration deadline is November 16!
- To ensure that everyone has a clear understanding, we are not attending Resurrection this January. We are attending Warmth in Winter instead. Please direct any questions you may have about this to me, Wes Pardue, at 476-5586 or wespardue@bsumc.org.
- N*Light*N - Our retreat is just a few days away. We will meet at 1pm on Nov. 12 at Hurt Lodge. Register today!
- Second Saturday Service Project - We will be working on the Disc Golf Course at Johnston Woods on Saturday, November 12 from 9am-12pm. Bring a shovel and work gloves. Lunch will be provided for those staying for the N*Light*N Retreat that begins at 1pm.
